Cleveland Wrecking Company was contracted to perform the decommissioning of a Chlor-Alkali chemical plant, located in New Castle County, Delaware.
As part of the decommissioning, the Client removed any process equipment for resale, prior to demolition activities. Demolition activities included the wrecking and recycling of over 580,000 square foot of chemical process structure, masonry and steel administrative buildings and warehouse space. From the wreckage, over 3500 Gross Tons of scrap steel and over 200,000 pounds of non-ferrous metal were recovered and sold for salvage value.
Following the above grade wrecking, Cleveland Wrecking Company demolished, staged, crushed and placed as backfill, over 7000 Net Tons of concrete and brick.
